Dr. Adam Harrison is a lifelong resident of Cullman County with deep family roots in the community. A 2002 graduate of Cullman High School, he was a member of the school’s championship baseball team. He earned his undergraduate degree from Auburn University before attending the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Osteopathy in 2010. Dr. Harrison completed his first year of residency at The Medical Center in Columbus, Georgia, and went on to complete his Family Medicine residency at Huntsville Hospital through the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
During his time in Columbus, Dr. Harrison met his wife, Lindsay Harrison, NP, while they were both working in the Emergency Department. The two married in 2013 and now have two children. Following his residency, Dr. Harrison returned to his hometown and joined Cullman Internal Medicine in 2014, where he is now a partner.
Dr. Harrison is board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine and licensed by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners. He also holds certifications as a Certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist and Certified Medical Review Officer.
Beyond his medical practice, Dr. Harrison is actively involved in both professional and community service. He serves on multiple medical boards at Cullman Regional Hospital, is a member of the Cullman Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and currently serves as President of the Cullman Regional Medical Staff as well as a Board Member of the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Harrison has been recognized as the Cullman Times’ “Best of the Best” Physician for six consecutive years (2019–2024). He remains deeply committed to providing exceptional care and improving the health and well-being of the Cullman community.
